Step 1 – Clarify Who You’re Really Selling To Most Amazon listings fail because they’re written for “everyone.” The algorithm might bring traffic, but humans make the purchase decision. Define: Who is the primary buyer? What urgent problem are they trying to solve? What objections are stopping them from clicking “Buy Now”? Write this on a sticky note and keep it visible while you optimize your title, bullets and images.

Step 2 – Build a Real Keyword Strategy (Not Just Stuffing) Tools are useful, but they’re not the strategy. Your goal is to balance: Main keywords for visibility Long-tail keywords for buyer intent Backend/search terms for indexing For each listing, create a simple keyword map: 1–2 primary phrases for the title 5–10 supporting phrases for bullets Extra long-tails for backend fields This way, every piece of your listing has a role instead of random keyword stuffing.

Step 3 – Write a Title That Sells in 2 Seconds Shoppers skim. Your title has to tell them: What the product is Who it’s for Why yours is the best option A simple formula: [Main keyword] + [Core benefit] + [Key differentiator] Example: “Premium Collagen Gummies – Supports Hair, Skin & Nails – Sugar-Free, 120 Count” Notice how it mixes keyword, benefit and proof in one line.

Step 4 – Turn Bullets Into a Sales Conversation Bullets are not a feature list; they are your mini sales script. Use this structure for each bullet: Pain – call out the problem Feature – what your product includes Benefit – what that feature actually does for the customer Micro-proof – a number, material, or simple fact Example: “No more flimsy cables – Reinforced nylon braided design survives over 10,000 bends, so you stop replacing chargers every few weeks.” Write 5 bullets that do this, and your conversion rate will rise even without changing price.

Step 5 – Upgrade Visuals & A+ Content for Real Shopping Behaviour Most shoppers buy with their eyes first. Your images should: Show the product clearly in the main image Demonstrate size and scale Highlight key benefits with text overlays Use lifestyle photos that show the product in context Include comparison charts in A+ content Think of each image as a mini landing page. If someone only looked at images (no text), they should still understand exactly why your product is the right choice. Bonus – Track and Improve Instead of Guessing Real optimization is ongoing.
